Good wet weather footy by Norwood, our pressure was fairly poor in the first half but stepped up and did enough to win.
Scoring shots tell the tale, Sturt were very average and the scoreboard flattered them.
Was good to see Tambling and Graham heckled and abused all game, even the Sturt fans were getting into them

I did think at the start of the Season that Tambling might get another go with the Cows, but that seems to be looking more and more unlikely as the season wears on.

Why was that good to see? Am I missing something? :?

I'll remeber this one for the most bizarre deliberate out of bounds decision I've ever witnessed.

Gave some great comedy relief to an otherwise fairly ho hum game.

Ended up being a good night at the footy, rain stopped half way thru the 1st Qtr.
Norwood far too good, played the better wet weather footy as Jim said.
Highlight of the night was the coopers girls giving out beanies and stubby holders very tasty :D

No that was in front of me and was deserved. KMAC knew it too.
No the decision against Murphy who was about 20m out running into an open goal, as he kicks he is tackled from behind and the ball slews wide of the goals. The ump pinged him for deliberate

Yep he paid deliberate, because you would deliberately aim for the boundary line instead of the open goals

If that is the case then there seriously needs to be an enquiry into the standard of umpiring and the first order of business is to ensure that umpire never ever umpires in the SANFL again. It appears that the umpires are hell bent on ensuring that they are a bigger part of the game than the game itself!
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

From Adelaidenow:

The night wasn't without one final twist when a Norwood player was bizarrely penalised for deliberate out of bounds after his shot on goal missed everything.

In fairness I thought the umpiring as a whole was very good last night. Thought the men in white judged the conditions well, let most things go and paid what needed to be. Sturt tried hard, but we were simply a better team.

In reference to the incidence in the southern stand at the end of the night, did anyone here see it? I know every club has these so called ferals, but to the young lad with a colourful sleeve tattoo and wearing a sturt cheersquad hoody you are a tool. Trying to act tough and mouthing off to everyone you encounter all night doesn't make you tough, people like you ruin going to the footy for families, and it ruins the great banter between opposition supporters that we all love and enjoy.

Calling a 13 year old girl a slut as you walk drunkenly past is real tough too. Girl was left in tears. Real hero.

I walked away from that game honestly thinking we'd lost by close to 100pts because let's face it to lose by almost 50pts in those conditions is akin to being flogged by 100.

Norwood ran to contests, to open space and harrassed harder than us. You could see it easily. Bigger bodies certainly helped too.

I sensed that our boys really didn't believe they could win and just went through the motions for most of the night.

Was in the southern stand and obviously a flare was let off and a group of guys started to leave. It would be fair to assume they're Sturt barrackers. Norwood barracker amongst others clearly verbally expressed their displeasure of the flare being let off amongst expressing their thoughts of the character of the Sturt barrackers as they left. With the Sturt barrackers at the bottom of the grandstand and almost ready to exit one of them finally took exception to the Norwood barracker and proceeded to make his way up the stairs towards him gesturing along the way to suggest the Norwood barracker to make something of it.

At that point i just shook my head in disbelief and focused on the last 30 seconds of footy.

Disappointing to say the least.
