Round 9 - North v West @ Prospect Oval (Sun 2/6)

Postby Big Phil » Mon May 27, 2013 3:20 pm

The Roosters will be very keen to bounce back against the top-of-the-table Bloods, especially after they were shown up by the Magpiess, last week. The home side will have George Thring face the tribunal for an alleged striking charge as well...

Westies are now 2 games clear on top and are still finding ways to win, despite not playing their best football, yet. These 2 sides have a bit of feeling at Prospect over the years, this will be another good one, I'd suspect...

On last weeks form, West, on North's last few years form losing to bottom sides and beating top sides, North to win by enough

Best way to beat North is to be out of the 5 ...

West would need to lift their form to beat the Roosters, our last 5 weeks have been pretty ordinary even though we have won 4 out of the 5. Our skills need to lift. Both Birss and Ezard should come back into the team.

What AFL listed players will line up in both camps? Might be the difference.

Really feel for Ezard, a Magarey Medalist playing in the 2's again. I worry his speed may be keeping him out of the line up at the moment.

For me, Jimmy is vying for one spot with Dean and Hill. Maybe when/if Crouch gets called up there may be a spot for him.

Ezard is my favourite player but his form has been down this year but he will be back. I think his shoulder is still a little sore

If North turn up and play anything like last Sunday we will be beaten easily and the only fireworks will be those coming from our own supporters!

Just finished reading Zac Milbank's match preview and I found the following quote from Andy Collins very interesting?

"You want to play these games. There were some actions from the last time we played North Adelaide that we didn’t appreciate as a playing group. You’ve got to have a video to have a look at them.’’

What does he exactly mean by that? He was not happy with his own players or with North's players and some off ball action that I must admit I didn't see from either team?
