Major disappoint. Obviously port aren't as bad as people thought, and north aren't as good.

Just one of those days. Port are still definate bottom 3 material and North should play finals.
Maybe North got a bid ahead of themselves, they do have history of dropping games to sides lower than them on the ladder. A sign of a good side is how they respond next game.
Any coincidence that Port won after the Future was dropped to the Power

Great game of footy.

Port ran out of defence well, kicked better at goal and won more of the ball. Pretty happy with today's effort and expect more of this outfit from now on.

And by the sounds of it did very well to stop North's running game.

All of the above. North didn't look like it after the first 2 goals and I think mentally they played like they only had to turn up. There was none of the pressure on the ball carriers that North showed in the previous rounds nor at the 50-50 contests. Port wanted it more and it paid off for them. Frustrating how many times we won centre clearances and kicked to 2 on 1 contests going in to the fwd line. A few key players right down today - Anderson, Thompson, Langford (needs to improve his accuracy) and Gordon. Both Thompson and Gordon struggled to run today and both look like their carrying injuries which is more exposed with the run and pace Port showed.

No disrespect to Port but if North is going to be a genuine flag chance this year dropping games like today will cost us a double chance! Good sides win ugly - straight kicking nmay have helped too!

Also I wonder what the Crows will make of Johncocks performance? A lazy effort for such a skilled player and his "dive" in the first quarter in front of the scoreboard was comical, so bad he should have been pinged for simulation. His 2 goals were a result of very lucky bounces as he sat back and bludged for those two as he did for most of the game. Although his second was a great shot from a tight angle but he was lucky the ball even got there! The bounce of the ball today was a bi-product of North's whole day.

Let's hope this is a wake up call for next Sunday against West. Another loss and we drop back to the pack.

North were a 10 goal worse side than Port and were lucky to get away with a scoreline that was that flattering, Port's skills aren't great (North's were awful today) but they had great desire and attack on the ball, North will bounce back, the young inexperienced Magpies will take a lot away and will upset a few more if they continue to show the same desire

Worst ive seen north play this year. Port played like they wanted it more and were a lot more efficient than the cocks.

As I think I read in the live scores thread, bad kicking is bad football, and not only was north bad in front of goals, they were missing passes too, helped by the pressure applied by port. Well done to the Maggie's, and hopefully north respond convincingly next week

It looked to me that stiffy was on 1 leg for at least the 2nd half.

Dunno, I'd be pretty embarassed about getting only 2 out of 8 North games this year right.

Port too good today despite us having more scoring shots, first time I'd felt Francou had been outcoached all year.

Ahh well. Both my clubs played away and still beat one club.

North Adelaide/Geelong 27.23
One Club 22.22

To be fair to Johncock - Kriston Thompson (although not looking 100 percent himself) went out in sympathy for his indigenous brother and evened it up re bludging!
