Round 3 - North v Sturt @ Prospect Oval (Sat 13/4)

Postby Big Phil » Mon Apr 08, 2013 3:01 pm

The Roosters kicked off their 2013 campaign with a great win at The Ponderosa while Sturt hung on against the fast finishing Maggies last Friday night. If Sturt can play 4 quarters, this could be a good game.

Eh?
You only need to play a full second half against us to be assured of a win. That's where Port went wrong, they got going about 5 minutes into the third quarter. Don't let that fourth possie on the ladder fool you either, we're just checking the view out before we bugger off to the foot where we know the ropes a bit better. Should be a great clash though, after our massive turn out against the Pies we are expecting sheer handfuls of Double Blue fans to turn up.
Don't think many of us are holding too high a hope for this one so we won't have far to crash back to reality. I love our club and hope we'll win but the Cocks were too impressive against the Dogs and we barely held on against the side that got well and truly pummeled the week before.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

I'm with @Wedgie on this one, North scare me when they are playing a side they "should beat comfortably", if we win this game well then just maybe some of the inconsistency issues from the last few years have been addressed, the jury is out 'till about 4:30 Saturday arvo!

Last year in 20 of the 23 games North played, the favourite with the bookies lost. Hence I am with Ian and Wedgie. Let's see how we go this week before we get carried away.

What the last 2 said! This has all the pre-match hallmarks of a North loss and Sturt have upset us easily in the last 2 seasons at Prospect!

the only saving grace for north this week is that sturt arent bottom at the moment. if they were i would suggest it was a certainty for us to lose, as it stands we may have a glimmer of hope ;)
