Norwood massive favourites and should win well based on this seasons performances.

I got a feeling the Dogs may make it alot closer than expected though.

Should be a cracker, especially early these teams really dont like one another.

Personally i think the Dogs need to make some changes, this is how i hope they line up

F: Hewitt - Hill - Habel
HF: Meulendykes - Obst - Dunne
C: O'Hara - Williams - Colqhourn
HB: Goodrem - Collier - Nash
B: Barmby - Hardy - Reichert

R: Guilhaus - Thomas - Boyd

INT: Osborne/C.Milne/Claughton - Castree - S.Milne/C.Edmead

Presuming Symes is an out due to injury and that Colqhourn isnt selected by the Power.

I think you're right mate, should be a close game this one. How long since the Dogs have lost consecutive games at the Ponderosa in the same season?

Im thinking we should win by 7-8 goals but we would want to start better than we did against the Bays.
Our forward line is clicking into gear nicely, predicting Panos to get a bag
Beware the wounded Dog though

Just the teams though, it's one big love-in between the supporters.

Redlegs by 159 points for mine, Panos to kick 15. :D

That would be sweet revenge for the Havelberg day out at the Ponderosa, back in the Trevor Hill era? ;)

Oh dear, my poor memory.

Didn't a trevor hill play for the roosters?

We don't need to be playing the premiers at this stage of our season.

I hope that train comes by a little early and blows its' hooter... ;)

Seen Centrals have off days in the past due to not being switched on ..... but never against Norwood.
Should be the usual firey affair but will miss the Gowans boys. Loved to hate them.
Dogs will be keen to get a win on the board. 0 - 3 is unfamiliar water for Centrals.
Think the Redlegs will pull away after a tough fight.

Please let Hardy ruck again, he always gives us trouble when he is in the backlines.
Without him in the backlines you guys look a little shaky in defense.
Its only early but I think our game plan has been adjusted slightly, still a mean defense but look a lot more aggresive going forward. Really think if we can get away early it could get ugly for the Dogs

How have the Norwood big men played in the first 2 rounds? I see Baulderstone is pushing the door down in the Ressies with some great tap work.

Baulderstone will probably get limited opportunities if think.
Renouf and Dawe are a pretty good combination, unless Renouf gets a call up which is unlikely I cant see us changing anything unless we play Dawe as a forward

Renouf will either get a call up or an injury somewhere along the line

Didn't the Dogs start 0-3 last year or the year before? Or was that the Eagles?

Big test for us at this time of the year, perfect timing. It will be a tough game I cant see a blow out. Norwood looks to have the edge right now. A good forward structure a good ruck combo and an iron clad defence. Nothing against the dogs who will improve throughout this year but I see Norwood sneaking over the line by about 3-4 goal.
Playford is a good test for any team with it's size too.....

History suggests this is very likely. With Baulderstone racking up 46 taps in each of the first 2 rounds in the seconds (and a massive 11 clearances on the weekend), Norwood has the rare luxury of a league-standard, ready-to-play ruckman waiting in the wings. We'll need to cultivate him, too— even if Renouf qualifies with number of games played, the chances of him playing finals for Norwood are slim indeed.

Craig Evans' stats in the first 2 weeks in the ressies also indicate that he's a class above that level, and if Norwood were going to bother recruiting him, we'll have to play him pretty soon you'd reckon.

Back to the game, and I'd call it near enough to a 50/50. Seriously. Centrals have been written off as a spent force about as many times as they've won flags in the last 12 years. Even going back decades when they were (relatively) rubbish, they've always been tough to beat at Lizbeff.
