Woodville - ? anyone
Glenelg - 4489
Norwood (Fri) 3015
Elizabeth - 3149

Looked around 2.5 - 3K at woody but not being a regular to the oval, I could be out by a long way

People will love this but no surprise to see the Centrals crowd down as there was apparently 1k-1.5k at the Chickawoski Cup 5 minutes down the road at the same time

Think the Bays would be pretty disappointed with last nights crowd.

Weather was perfect for a good spectacle on the field and you couldn't get more comfortable conditions for spectators.

Pathetic crowd at the Bay for an absolutely perfect night ... where were all the Bay bandwagoners?

Yep sat div1 winners vs sun div1 winners. This year the Elizabeth Downs (arguably the biggest supported amatuer sporting club in SA) were playing and hosted their first ever game under lights last night.

Anyone who goes regularly to Elizabeth Oval would have noticed the lack of crowd at the Northern End Bar Hill last night which was impacted by the soccer

They have changed it since I was playing which was a while ago, used to be the cup winner vs Div 1 Sun winner.
But as you said amateur soccer is massively popular up north.

Hope all the Doggies fans rock up this week, always plenty of decent banter when the Legs come to town.
Should be a fair contingent of Legs fans make it up to Lizbef this week

Yep a downs v vale derby would comfortably get more than a central v south or west game.

Even the grove v vale derby is played infront of big crowds

Agreed. I think part of the issue was that all the Bay/Norwood fans who also watch the Crows on TV would have had to leave for Bay Oval at about half time in a close Crows game. May have made a significant dent in the crowd size.

the programming was silly, up against both afl clubs, i thought we would have got 6.5k and with the school carark apparently not open we got there at 5.30p and you couldve shot a cannon, people also are disgruntled with the $14 entrance fee as well

$14 is steep but I cant understand why any passionate SANFL supporter wouldnt take up an all ground membership, basically getting 7 games free and if you are unable to attend any game you can give them to a mate.

Alas the AFL Twilight games effect both Saturday Afternoon and Saturday Night games.

There is another one April 27 when Crows play Carlton in Melbourne

Rd 5
Eagles have Port @ Woodville in Afternoon
Glenelg have Sturt @ the Bay from 6.30pm

Those supporters obviously dont have a huge allegiance to their SANFL side then.
Personally if Essendon and Norwood are playing at the same time, I will go and watch the Legs and listen to the Bombers on radio and record the game to watch later. I would never consider staying at home and watching them on TV whilst Norwood is on

You and me both Jim however I think the difference between last week and this week's number lies a lot in
last week no Crows at all and Power playing interstate on Sunday

The diehards will still be there but if the SANFL game is on TV and the Crows on TV straight after (or together at 4pm for 30 mins) it is tricky to compete against.
