As expected.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

it looks that way, one game doesn't make a season though.

Comprehensive win by the Bays, score flatteted South thought Glenelg were a 10 goal better side.
Bays midfield destroyed South, Lynch was awesome at the stoppages and BOG for me.
Thought Lyons, Logan, Trembath and Kirkby also very good.
Lot harder to find better players for South, Murphy and Wundke tried hard all day and were head and shoulders above the rest. Really struggled up front, will be in big trouble if Wundke doesnt fire.
South turn into paper panfers at home, really need to find a way to win at penguin park if they want to play finals.
South depth in the ressies doesnt appear great either.
All in all a good afternoon, kudos to South for having the balls to host Good Friday, long may it continue.
Looking forward to playing the Bays this week, should be a beauty

Looking forward to Bunton's thoughts on South's performance.

Nice start to the year! :D

Bays look really well balanced and some of the guys have put on some more size over summer. South looked pretty good early and the game was of pretty good quality. Much better than last nights game.

Flame thrower was interesting!

Good crowd and South do a good job with it all.

Of course very early but think both sides have plenty to look forward to in 2013.

The Tigers beat the navy blue and white in R1, and their supporters suddenly start clearing September in their diaries....

Once again South don't deliver on the expectation of the night.

Bays killed us in the centre, defence held up really well.... To me , the Bays wanted to win alot more.

South seemed flat footed and not hard at the ball.

A disappointing result considering the club did a great job putting on a great night.... Just the side let us down.

Few big names not living up to the hype tonight either !!!

Bays will be ok this year IMO .
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Why wouldn't we, rounds 22 and 23 are in September.

Plus your lot look like making them and you know how Bays and North Finals usually end....

The last GF we remember well but we are a bit "hazy" before that!

Too many turnovers, skill level at times was ordinary
Didn't want to do the hard yards

Looked slow most of the night

Couldn't complaint about the conditions. Perfect evening for footy and a good crowd too

Anyone get a crowd figure?

what is with all the music and the flame thrower?? are we at the basketball?? I can understand the flame thing when the panthers get a goal and i can handle the music, but why the hell do they do it when the tigers got one...

However the bays were pretty good. umpiring was junk especially by one inperticular one, not sure his name because there was number on his shirt. good crowd.
really like the set up at hick oval... will be heading down there when they play west in a fortnight...

Yes, they're all idiots!

Anyway, to the match ...

Good day put on by South on Good Friday, well done. No Arctic Park tonight ... great weather.

There were 31 Pope elections but disappointingly, no Pope was elected by the end of the night.

South got out of the blocks early but the match was evenly poised at half time.

The Bays were too strong after half time and should have won by more ... McGinty, Lyons, Allen, Kirkby, and Trernbath to name a few were better players for the Bays, with Hooper kicking 3 on debut.

Good solid win for the Bays.

Looking forward to the Parade next week, should be a ripper match with a huge crowd.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.
