The first 6 weeks, from what I can tell, for ABV TV are as follows:

ROUND 1:

Saturday 30th March
Sturt v Eagles @ Unley Oval - ABC TV

ROUND 2:

Saturday 6th April
Eagles v West Adelaide @ Woodville Oval - ABC TV

ROUND 3:

Saturday 13th April
Port Magpies v Glenelg @ Alberton Oval - ABC TV

ROUND 4:

Saturday 20th April
Sturt v South Adelaide @ Unley Oval - ABC TV

ROUND 5:

Saturday 27th April
Eagles v Port Magpies @ Woodville Oval - ABC TV

ROUND 6:

Saturday 4th May
North Adelaide v Norwood @ Prospect Oval - ABC TV

LifeFM are calling the SANFL again in season 2013 but I haven't seen their allocation released as yet. I would suspect something will come from them in the next week or so.

And for the geo-challenged, as well as iView, if the WAFL is any guide (they've already started the season in the West), the ABC will be sticking with the 2012 arrangement of replaying each match nationwide on ABC1 at about 2:30am during the week—for interstaters to set their taping devices (and for that matter, for South Aussies to tape WAFL and VFL if they're so inclined). Good news.

Now if only the ABC can get around to loading the footy on iView in less than 3 or 4 days.

Think it was the same last year. The ABC only want to do one a week. Not sure that I'd choose Eagles/Port to be on TV over Norwood/Westies, but there you go.

The draw that is linked from this website states the TV game was to be SA v CD. Any reason for the change? (apart from the fact that we suck 8) )

I think there was an error with the TV allocations, on that particular fixture release. As far as I'm aware, the ABC don't forecast their game coverage that far in advance. Generally done in month brackets, I think.

Why is that? I went searching for it on the radio today when in the car, Im sure many others would have also.

To be honest Dutchy, I am not sure if it is an ABC TV, SANFL or RPH decison.

The SANFL rosters on the basis of having as many games as possible broadcast on a media outlet.

So if there are minimum two timeslots it works out to be
- Sat Aft game on ABC TV
- RPH gets maxium two games (in diff timeslots)
- LifeFM gets one game (usually when there are two non TV games scheduled)

So far it has meant EVERY game has been on TV or radio. Only the s
State game has been on both.

Finals it's all in.

A few years back RPH would do up to three games a weekend (including the ABC TV game) but with sponsorship declines this was cutback to max two.

It suits
- SANFL to have all games covered
- ABC TV not to have game on radio
- Radio stations not to compete with TV

Alas it doesn't suit those who cant get ABC TV.

Fair call Phil, just seems weird when we have 2 of the top 3 teams playing and a GF rematch and no coverage on radio, reckon RPH could drop one of tomorrows games to ensure coverage of the big game today.

Thats a shame as a North fan I tried to get the game on radio today whilst in the car with the family and couldnt find it. Unfortunately I had to tune into the inferior league before the bounce. :(
