Will South improve in 2013?

Just wondering whether people think that South will improve in season 2013?

Also is Ron Fuller in his last year of his five year deal and is he likely to be reappointed?

All they have to do is get over the line in a few of those close games, so it could look as though they improve substantially without it really being as great an improvement as the W-L suggest..
A lot depends on Wundke, if he's there most of the year then 4th, if he goes down then 7-8th.

Depends if they can find a way to win at home consistantly.
Teams must love travelling to Noarlunga, almost guaranteed 2 points last year.

1. Definately.

2. Ron will be there until he gets a better offer.

Or until the Panthers find someone better.

I see a very long term coach at Panther Land.

I also see South improving in all grades as long as Ron is there. :D

Footy is a long term project with it's highs and lows..

Sometimes you break your back and get nothing.

Sometimes you do nothing and it all comes together.

Ron will have succsess. :D

Now normally I never talk about South, but seeing Bunty has left the door ajar I might indulge just once.
How can any normal person who loves South (oxymoron), say AFTER 3 years of Ron with 2 whole years to get through, that he gets another contract!
Firstly, who gets 5 year deals in sport these days! Please... he aint Leigh Matthews.
Secondly, it's got to be results that dictate because if South miss finals these next two years that would make it three years running and what sort of array of excuses could justify another deal?
Bunty don't be so desperate..... he's not the messiah, he's just Ronny

why is it an oxymoron? Why can't South supporters love their team? South made the finals in 2011, finished 4th, so that's encouraging for them, especially in light of the fact that they have had very little success lately. If South have decided to give him a 5 year deal, that's their decision. AND if they don't make the finals for the next 2 years, it's South's decision as to what they do with their coach. Why do you have such a massive chip on your shoulder? it's getting a bit tiresome, almost a witch-hunt, give it a rest.

5 year deal for a coach with a very good record sounds fair. He seems to have bought some stability to South, which is something they needed. South are going in the right direction.

Apparently he did this, though it seems he can't stop talking about Ron and our future. The workings of a special mind I guess

I hope they do. the supporters deserve it, as much as the playing group.

Ron made it clear to club at his appointment that at the end of the 5 year contract (which is at the end of next season) he will retire from footy as he wants to travel and spend time with family away from footy which he has been involved in for so many years. The 5 years term was correct as we needed coaching stabilty, disipline and long term on-field direction for all grades throughout the club which Ron continues to provide.

Will South improve, definately YES! Given 4 games lost by 6 pionts or less last year and apart from the usual misguided rubbish from some on this site the club lost very little of its playing list (the only major loss is Ainger who wanted to bankrupt the club with an unrealistic pay demand which the club rightly refused to give) therefore the team is settled with long term injured players like Thewlis, McNamara returning and an injury free Wundke with excellent selective off-season recruiting together with off-field stability this should be a good year for Panther supporters.
