Jai Bednall has just tweeted that the 2013 finals will be held at suburban grounds.

The Grand Final will still be at AAMI Stadium.

The highest rank team will be the host.

Great work by the SANFL, looking forward to seeing the draw now.

Good move, it's been in the WAFL for years.

The only disadvantage I can see with this system is that potentially there's four different teams playing on that day if you include the ressies and most clubs dont have change room facilities to cope.

Yes to suburban grounds

But no to being at the ground of the highest ranked team.

Ideally would be at a neutral and accessible ground.

Great idea. Someone elses supporters can get up early and whack the fences up.

No problems with moving away from Footy Park, but will these games be on at the same time? Part of the attraction of going as a neutral if the Eagles aren't playing is seeing two games of finals footy.

this is good news! even if the crowd is the same as what they were getting at footy park for the first few weeks of the finals, the atmosphere will be much better

I know the league wont want to give sides an extra days break but id hope the games were not on at same time

Great news!!

Puts a massive prize on gaining a higher seed in the final 5.

Will it just be for 2013 then all finals back to Adelaide Oval?
