PANTHERS APPOINT CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Following an exhaustive executive recruitment process, the Board of the South Adelaide Football Club is delighted to announce that Evan Arnold has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer.
A South Australian who has worked locally and interstate, Evan joins the Panthers from leading international business advisory KPMG where he is Director Business Development and Markets in its Adelaide office. He is married to Sally and has two young daughters.
Evan holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Marketing and Finance. An accomplished sportsman, he represented South Australia at Cricket (Redbacks) and amateur football during a long career in both sports with Adelaide University Sports Club. His business career has been in the areas of sales, marketing, strategy, events management and sponsorship relations. Past employers have been Lion Nathan then the Fosters Group with whom he was State Sales Manager initially in South Australia and subsequently in Victoria. Upon returning to Adelaide, Evan gained football club experience working with Mark Haysman at Port Adelaide prior to taking up his current position at KPMG.
Evan Arnold has had considerable experience in leading large teams, establishing and implementing business plans, financial performance and reporting. His academic qualifications, sporting prowess, hospitality and business development background will equip him well for the challenges of running an SANFL football club. Evan will take up his new role early next month. SAFC members will have an opportunity to meet the new CEO at the Annual General Meeting to be held in the Peter Darley Room at Hickinbotham Oval on Monday 19th December 2012 at 7:00pm.
