Which suggests it had been crap for a good 12 years or more before Norwood were finally able to win one?

Im pretty sure 1990 was when it all started to go south for the SANFL.

AFL reserves teams isnt ideal - but deal with it if it happens. It just means that these players will be playing their reserve grade football in one team rather than being spread out over 9 teams.

The AFL probably has a national strategy for branding the game and the current SANFL is an unfortunate barrier

a national strategy should involve an afl reserves comp

and most supporters will deal with it if the crows/power infiltrate the SANFL by not going to games and probably will start following the local ammo's

I agree, should have an AFL reserves comp, but who will they pick to fill up the reserves teams.

I still love the SANFL comp as much as I always have. It changed and will change again but it will not die.
The AFL will not have reserves teams in the SANFL League comp so don't worry. Don't know how they will get the reserves to play in front of the League game with Port and Adelaide in that comp.

That's what the 9 clubs in the WAFL said until two blinked and turned traitor

A KEY different here is that the 7 WAFL clubs appear powerless in voting on the future structure of their competition.

I think it is a different structure here in SA where league directors have a greater say on their comp.

That said it was pretty unanimous early from the 8 SANFL clubs that there would be NO Magpies Power merger, that changed within 12 months.

Doesn't suggest that at all..it's just we helped contribute more to it being crap than you did. ;)

It changed pretty quick after the last massive handout from the SANFL to the Port club!
That was the final parting Dole bludger handout and it cost them their share of Footy Park, so that will be of significant benefit in years to come for the 8 true SANFL clubs that WILL remain!
Can't wait to laugh at the crap crowds at A Oval for the Flowers....

Sadly, in my case, that won’t happen until she’s cremated.
But thanks a lot for that happy thought 'smac' !
