Postby Dog_ger » Sat Oct 27, 2012 10:35 am

I go for the dogs.

Maybe they will struggle to achieve the glory of the past. :(

But I do expect them to play in the 2013 GrandFinal :D

Just like every good SANFL supporter. :D
Smile :)

It's only Money $$$ :)

What is happening to our SANFL guys...

Wont know until after the draft, and if theres any other departures, and if we can get any recruits. Currently no.

Central finished 2nd at the end of the season, I thought, in light of the amount of serious injuries in 2011 & 2102, We did pretty good. Now that the players have recovered, I expect nothing less than a Grand Final berth in 2013. We have an excellent full forward in Hardy, a fully fit Obst at CHF will be hard to stop, the best footballer in the SANFL for 2012 in Boyd will continue to give Us great drive through the middle, Collier & Templeton running off the half back line should be unstoppable, an even fitter & meaner Sutherland in ruck, teaming up with Hannath, who was a revelation in 2013, together with the young guns coming up through the reserves and now ready to make their mark in the league side.....is making Me salivate in anticipation!

I agree with much of that Centurion. But...will Hannath be there? He's a big draft target. And, I don't think Sutherland's the man to lead our rucks.

Pumpa will be a different man next year, a lot more toned & stronger. But yes, We need to retain Hannath.

Yep, finals are a lock. Would not be surprised with a top 3. The reason being is not due to our new recruits, what AFL players we may have or our better players: Mules, Kirkby, Dav, Ty, Holmes or Milne. It will be the juniors we've played over the last two years reaching that crucial 50-100 game bracket where they know what is required to play good league footy: Hender, Agnew, Bradley, Trembath, Pitt, McGinty, & Curran. Building our depth of good SANFL players

Who knows our 2012 could = Centrals 1999. Our 2012 could = ...

Go ahead and mock
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Unless there's several seriously dominant ruckmen in the competition (and by that I mean the complete package of hitouts, and a towering overhead presence in open play), I think ruck has become a position that can be covered by either an exceptional midfield and/or a negating ruckman.

I don't think there's too many ruckmen that fall i to that category these days, Giles was probably the most recent of them that I can remember.

Hopefully the Eagles will go up the ladder, but with Cica and co retiring at the end of last season, it will be tough.

Norwood can not improve their position on the ladder but depending on draft I do think we will get better.
Expect to play Centrals in the GF as the Dogs will bounce back hard next year .... and the Eagles.

A lot of those players were past their best form, so I would expect them to replace those abilities in 2013 .. Replacing the leadership of those blokes however is another matter and can't be underestimated.

I expect Norwood to improve next season, losing Batsanis isnt great but we get back a better player in Campbell. Throw in our skipper aswell as Fuller and Newton and thats a good start. Might lose a couple to the draft but im sure the club will actively recruit players to take their spot

No.

Our game style has to improve from our last game.

Improving our ladder position will be harder. Another Top 3 showing all year would be an important consolidation. Anything can then happen in finals.

Confirming a Coach for next year would help.....
