but the official SANFL Media Awards were presented last night.

The main winners were

- Best Television Coverage
- Ian Shuttleworth (Ten News) - Behind the scenes look at Nathan Bassett on game day.

- Best Radio Coverage
- ABC Grandstand - Finals Broadcast

- Best Print Coverage
- Warren Partland (The Advertiser) - sorry didn't get the specifics but he also wins the award for most colourful acceptance speech.

- Best Photographic Coverage
- Sarah Reed (The Advertiser) - remember Jaryd Cachia's specky in the 2nd semi final, Sarah got a great front on shot at the point of mark.

- Best Overall Story (Any Medium)
- Phil Aspinall & Grant Coffee - RPH League Teams Show - Andrew Jarman interview

And a special recognition for Gordon Armstong after 25 years service, he retired from Messenger Press a week or so ago.
