It has nothing to do with not wanting to test himself.
The money offered was not enough. Same for McLeod. I know what he got offered and it isn't worth moving your family interstate for. It wouldn't even be worth changing jobs in Adelaide for.

Nathan Bassett will " test himself " Dols but he will only go to a job that suits him. No need to rush at the first offer if the fit is not right. Can think of a lot worse jobs than coaching the Redlegs.

I personally was glad the Doggies didn't make the GF. I believe that not making the GF hurts the Doggies more than losing a GF. If a team plays in a GF, then it can win that game. The Doggies losing the Semi by 12 goals and going out in straight sets was almost as enjoyable as the 'Legs winning the GF.
