2012 SANFL Grand Final

Postby RustyCage » Sun Sep 30, 2012 7:05 pm

Norwood v West Adelaide.

Norwood looking for their first flag since 1997 while West are after their first since 1983. It's been all Norwood this season at the top of the ladder and they will go in favourites but you never know what will happen in a Grand Final

Norwood should win the grand final after the Second Semi Final. Form is on their side. I said North should beat Westies this weekend and they didn't. Form is a funny thing. Has the week off played on Norwood's mind who knows?

Westies couldn't play as bad as they did last week against Norwood. Cannot wait to get there

Winning form is good form, Norwood have only won one game in the last month where as Westies have won 2.

If the Westies players mindset is as it was today and not play negative footy, i reckon they will win ;)

If, and given Collins' predilections over the last five years it's a big if, West go in with the attitude of kicking more goals than their opponent rather than conceding less there's no doubt West can win. Norwood will need someone to stand up in attack for us to win IMHO.

Go the Legs.

One big plus for Westies this week is that Adam Hartlett will play this week. He has been outstanding this year and will probably wi n our Best and Fairest. Missed last week with suspension

Given Norwood's forward line, will the Ferguson experiment up forward continue next week?

Tough decisions at the selection table this week too, with Tippett, Beech & Ben Fisher possibly available and usually in our best 22

I am confident Norwood's pressure on the body and hard hitting tackling will se us through.
Like any GF the team that makes the most of its opportunities will win ..... denying West those opportunities is the key to a Redlegs flag.
You non Norwood people have no idea how much we want this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree Topsy. West with an attacking midset might have more forward options.

Supposedly Norwood have more supporters than Centrals, West probably a few less than the Eagles, so if we get a nice day like today, should get about last year's 25k IMO.
