Confirmed in the Sunday Mail today that ABC TV, ABC Radio and 5RPH's Michael Maney has got the Sports reading gig with Southern Cross TV back in his home state of Tasmania...

Congratulations of the gig Michael and well done on your fantastic media career here in SA. I've always thought he is a very good caller and a really great bloke to chat with...

Is he taking his box with him?

He was a great caller. Didn't start screaming into the microphone at the drop of a hat like most AFL commentators. I don't watch a lot of TV games but he's always been one of my favourites. Hope his replacement isn't Stephen Rowe.
