Gee some of you blokes are total wankers. You are all about SANFL history and preserving the game and when a piece of SANFL history is knocked down you treat it as a joke. FFS grow a brain
Been in there many times and I for one am sad to see it go. Spent many halftimes in there as a kid. Any idea what is happening there Blacky?

May have been handy in the opening post to specify what the acronym actually stood for.

You're wrong, this was the last past players of its kind.
A fantastic institution which is now lost not only to westies but the SANFL also.
I grew up in an era when past players and officials was a strong part of the league. Norwood's under the grandstand, Torrens' and Westies were the pick of the away clubs I remember.

The West Adelaide Past Players was relocated into the north end of the mound bar with a view of the game at Richmond earlier this year.
The old building taken down yesterday was owned by the council who, after inspection, condemned it and arranged the removal.
Bit of history is that the building originally was the reserves (both teams) change room and the reserves players entered/exited the ground through the fence gate in the north-west pocket.
