Don't know if finances would allow, but I wonder if a change of environment for Callum Wilson would help. Would be a good get for Sturt and, not casting dispersions on Port, but wouldn't be the first time an interstate recruit has been so-so before blossoming when changing clubs.

He has only been at Port for 5 mins..... not sure he needs a change of environment just yet.

Why would he want to go to Sturt ? Most club changes are for the better ..... not going backwards !

I hope for the lad's sake that he comes back as one who benefitted from an AFL stint and isn't one of these blokes broken by it.

Don't think he will be as he knuckled down a lot at the end of his tenure at Sturt the first time and given that he made his debut at 28 was never going to have an extended AFL career and a shocking run with injury didn't help his cause at the Gold Coast. Proved that he would have been up to it as one of their best in the upset win over Carlton.
Things should have been different for him but he'll be alright I reckon.

That scenario is more for the younger ones, unlike coady who has already dominated at this level. I see what your saying though, ah hem Paul Cahill

My Port mate told me at work yesterday that the Maggies are expecting lots of in's and out's, far more than normal!
This will definately not surprise too many considering their last five seasons, but he's talking big turnover

I still remember Coady kicking a goal from outside 50m into a strong breeze when Sturt beat us by 5pts in the 2009 Prelim.

He was dominating in the SANFL when recruited by the GC. Should come back better for the experience.

Wasn't he also involved in player development or coaching at the GC? If so, his influence will be very useful on Sturt's youngsters too. Good to see good footballers want to come back to our league.

Matthew Duldig says hi and how much bigger do you want him to be? :D

Coad's a great signing for Sturt, if he stays fit he should present lots of problems for other teams.

I was up on the Gold Coast when they beat Carlton and Coady played really well at full back, thought at that stage he might get another year up there.
