North Extends Francou's Contract.

The North Adelaide Football Club is extremely pleased to announce that Club Coach Josh Francou has agreed to an extension of his contract for a further two (2) years. This is great news for our Club and provides some real stability to our football operations. We believe our young list has shown outstanding development over the past two years as is evidenced by the improvement shown in many players including James Bennett, Cohen Thiele, Mitch Clisby, Kriston Thompson and Todd Miles. In addition, Josh and the coaches have put much development time into many other young players like Max Thring, Nick Amato, Jake Keller and Jake Liston, all of whom we expect will be key players for us next season and beyond. We look forward to continuing our improvement as a highly competitive football club with Josh Francou at the helm.

Good news and some stability. He will have a big job however in finding replacements for Alleway and most likely Allan along with Gill who went thru the pre-season. Not to mention who else might go from Prospect re the AFL drafts?

Obviously can't replace the likes of Allan and Alleway easily, but at least he can go out and get exactly the type of players/people he wants and has his chance to leave a real legacy to the NAFC.

No, but if I was a betting man I would say it is 50-50!

If he was definately going I would have thought he may have announced it in the past couple of weeks and he could have played last Sunday as his farewell game at Prospect so maybe he stays? Let's hope so!

Even regardless of Alleway and possibly Allan leaving we will have room as there was a lot of back ended contracts made under the previous administration that have had to be dealt with.

Talked to a few North supporters as well mid year .

I don't like being called as someone making stories up.

Just observing what i read and the people I talk too.

I know a few mid year that were not happy with him but looks like josh got his act together and redeemed himself to some negative supporters.

Fyi wedgie, I don't make stories up like some on here.

99% of North supporters I know have always been supportive of Josh including myself who didn't like him as a footballer. We have seen a gradual improvement in many things since the Healy years.
And those who know the 1% would understand.

Coach needs 2 be questioned as well, needs to want to coach, not write articles or commentary or just serve us lip, sick of mediocrity.

Francou must take most of the blame as his game style is clearly not working or the players are useless in implementing it. Was willing to give him some slack but after this, Josh put in you resignation now and save us from further embarrassment. I am sick of accepting mediocrity and will no more be accepting of it

well i give up folks. thats it for me. 20 years of shite footy and b grade players with no passion or pride in the jumper. and when we had a coach who took us to finals and a grand final, we sack him and get duds like Healy and Francou.
