We won. Our skills were terrible at times. Great to see Hayesy and Obst in the reserves. Both looked ok considering how long they've been out.

Duldig gets fatter every time I see him.

Great effort sturt. Seamus must be so proud and Luke Norman would be laughing.

Hmmm...looked like a fist to the face, off the ball, which should see a few matches.

The result was predictable but the margin lower than expected. I felt that Sturt played some good footy in the first and final qtrs but their tendency to go wide at all costs in the second and third put pay to any chance of a victory. That was Ben Kane's best game in Sturt colours I reckon. Jaensch and Tambling were excellent, and if Anderson gets some goal kicking practice he'll make as good a forward as he is a defender. Krause, Sheeds and Greenslade were also good.

A big thanks to Symes for amusing us in the last quarter with his numerous stuff ups. His kicking is overrated.

I didnt see the Boyd report. I heard he copped a couple to the back of the head, so threw his arm back. My understanding is he's never been reported before.

Williams, habel named best thommo also received an award. Special mention was again made of symes for one.
A big thanks to sturt for allowing us to work some good passages of play, helped to instil a bit of confidence around the club.

Good to see chad in the best for the ressies, 3 goals and good stats.

I'm not sure that "allow" is the right word for it....perhaps "making us work hard for a few passages of play" is more accurate, but hey, seeing arrogance is one of your traits.. :?

A big thanks to the "finger dogs" ...the Gowans lads for their finger pointing - they put Sebastian Vettel to shame but he has more years ahead of him to catch up :)

p.s. retaliation is no excuse, but I'm sure you already know that

Retaliation is taken into consideration as is a good record, but I'm not sure you already know that.
Nothing to do with arrogance. Sturt were average today and the result reflected the ladder positions. I said we were woeful against west and port in recent weeks. Sturt left too many players unchecked to often, it enabled us to produce some good passages of play.
You can bag our players all you like, I guess you don't have much else to be positive about. Maybe next year.

yep, finger pointing is much frowned upon these days by the finer gentry down around Unley. Pathetic how someone has to pick on the Gowans' (again) over such insignificant tripe. finger pointing........pppfftt.....what a joke......what next...eyebrow lifting?

I read on the scores thread that theargin was about 25 points about halfway through the final quarter after being 50 at 3 Q time. Must have been an interesting beginning to the final Q. For Sturt fans anyway. Anyone got a perspective on this?

yes, what happened was this. Sturt kicked a few goals, thus reducing the margin to the 25 points that you mentioned. Then Central scored some, which blew the margin out to the final amount. All in all, We won but I must say it was one of the most boring games that I have witnessed for some time.

Margin got back to 38 points in last qtr before dogs kicked a couple. Hardy played half back/full back in 2nd half.

we remind me alot of the Eagles last year. Definatly not the best side but getting close to our best side on the park for finals, and have done enough to comfortably earn the double chance.

Wow, Sturt reduced the margin by kicking GOALS! Of all the things it could have been too.

Selective reading and mindless sarcasm big in Japan is it ? "thus"is the operative word you seem to have missed.

Your emphasis of the word "thus" doesn't change the fact that he told me nothing I couldn't figure out for myself,
