One of our better results of the season, to be down to 1 man on the bench in those conditions against the Eagles was a great effort. Defenders really stood up and did a fine job

I thought Mitch Grigg as BOG

Norwood lost Batsanis to an ankle injury and Gallagher was knocked out by a late hit by Ben Kane

Only saw from middle of second quarter, we had a crack, but Norwood just too good.
Ugly, ugly game not helped by either coaches tactics. Low scores don't bother me, but the way the game is played annoyed me.
Umpiring was pretty good in what what have been a hard game to umpire.

The last quarter was the first scoreless quarter in 87 years. The only other occasions...

First Semi 1915, Adelaide
Port 2.1 4.3 5.8 5.8 (38)
West 2.3 3.5 6.7 6.7 (43)

Round 2 1925, Prospect
North 1.3 1.4 3.7 3.7 (25)
West 2.1 4.4 6.6 6.6 (42)

A few season records were broken today as was expected in the conditions...

* Norwood's tackle count of 96 and the Eagles' count of 77 eclipsed the previous season record for tackles of 71 by Centrals in Round 9 v North. Across town Sturt also broke that record with 74 tackles.

* Josh Cachia's 15 tackles is the most of any player this season, beating the previous record of 11 by James Bennett (North) and Sam Kerridge (Sturt).

* Norwood was beaten in the hit outs for the 19th time this season out of 19 games.

* Norwood's 25 inside 50s is the lowest count for a team that won this season, beating the previous record of 33 by North ironically against Norwood in Round 11 this season.

* Norwood's 148 kicks is the lowest of any side to have won this year (previous record is 151 by South v North Round 2)

* Both side's marks tally of 39 and 27 was the lowest and second lowest for a game this year (previous record is 44)

Didn't CK say it was a broken ankle for Batsanis?

Apparently Batsanis is back at the club in a Moonboot, so fingers crossed there's no break (or any other form of severe damage).

Not sure he can.
From what I could see on TV it looked like he'd fractured the lower end of the Fibula - the thinner bone in the lower leg.
(When you do that the main bone, the Tibia, will still take weight but it shows when you try to walk.)
EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!
