Thank God for Sturt ... Without them, the Bays would have been bottom the last 2 years

Medlin tried hard to make sure it was a draw. Terrible decision just lucky Tambling's kick faded late to only be a point.

A wins A win and we will take it.

Sturt showed good endeavour for the whole day... actually thought they were the better side...

Glenelg showed why they are a pretty crap team, which evidently, doesn't make us sound too good since we lost...

If this is what a 5th place side is like nowadays then the league has fallen away even more....

Umpiring was at times... woeful, blind, idiotic and downright appalling... noted that 5RPH were amazed at many pro-Glenelg decisions...

Glenelg had the better of these attrocious decisions... no doubt about it...

But Sturt weren't without some blessed decisions...

Overall a terrible loss for Sturt who need to get off the bottom, otherwise the club seems assured of folding in 1-2 years.

I reckon the Bays v LPRs game in 1995 at Pecker park was worse. Symo even said he wanted to give everyone their money back for having to watch it. We lost!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Must have been watching a different game to me...and all the people around me...we were enthralled. First half shootout and second half dour struggle for ascendancy. All made for a great day out. Despite the poor crowd those that were there showed plenty of passion.

I felt that Sturt played the better footy over 4 qtrs but just couldn't put it on the board again..missing easy chances in the 3rd really cost us and was the difference in the end. But well done to both sides for going in hard til the final siren.

A special mention to the umps..the last free of the day looked more than a tad dodgy seeing they hadn't paid one like that all day...I guess they were trying to even it up :? pretty disgraceful..

What was it? The old man mentioned a free vs duldig in the last, a push...was it there? Swung the momentum he reckons.

I was talking about the one on the siren that gave us a chance to level the scores..Difficult to see from where I was, but it looked very harsh considering the way the game had been umpired up til then. I'm sick of players who are first to the ball getting pinged, be it my team or the opposition. It's just not footy..

p.s. still trying to work out why that mark wasn't paid to Macleay in the 3rd...there were plenty of bizarre ones today, both ways.

couldn't see whether the Tambling free was there from 100m away ... in any case, the Bays paid the price for fart-arsing around the full back line and not clearing properly.

Should have kicked the goal really ...

the duldig one though was the one that changed the game as we goaled from the resulting 25m penalty as duldig played on.

no doubt that duldigs was a push but they had let the pushes go all game, just like they hadnt pinged for holding the ball until the last 20 seconds

Highlight of the day from the Umpires was the 3 way collision between Lynch, Panozzo and another bay player. Ball is in the air all 3 go at it massive collision and Lynch gets the free and Panozzo appeared to go into the Book.

Nothing more than a fierce footy collision and if anything Lynch should have given the free away rather than receive it.

There was a number of clear marks not paid for whatever bizarre reason.

Blokes on the Radio couldn't believe how unlucky Kirkby was and the lack of free kicks he got when being belted. I don't think any of us mind if they are consistent but those blokes were just plan crap and no one had any idea.
