It is with sadness we announce the retirement of Clint Alleway effective the end of the 2012 season. Clint has been an extraordinary person to have around our club since 2006, a great player who earned a reputation for most of those years as the premier Centre Half Forward in the SANFL competition, but also a great club man who gave up his time in so many areas to assist the club with fundraising activities, junior development initiatives and importantly the running of our Football School programs.

Clint, who turns 32 years old early next year, has made the decision to move onto the next phase of his life with his lovely wife Heidi. They plan to travel extensively over the next 12 months before starting a family.

Such is Clint’s passion for the club, he wanted to make the announcement today, as he wants to see all Rooster supporters at our next (and last) home match against Port Adelaide. This is a critical match for the club as we know, but also the last time we will see this great champion of our club on Prospect Oval (other than walking his greyhounds…).

Please join us in wishing Clint and Heidi every happiness into the future, and lets all make his last appearance at Prospect a memorable one!

Clinton's football stats coming soon.

Sad news for Roosters fans...

Apart from his undiscipline at times, Clint was a quality footballer for North Adelaide...

OTR will be on suicide watch!!

Been a top player, and I'd always envied North for having him .. Also should be commended for the length of his stay, which I always rate as opposed to the here 1 year gone the next types (Allan and Ryswyk also fit into that same category as Alleway).

Always gave us a hard time .... believe we nearly got him originally but North were more financial then.

He's one of those players and people who you like to under rate, saying he isn't as good as his clubs fans think he is just to get at them, full well knowing they are good, really good and would have liked to have him in your colours.

Can North do some damage in September to give him a big finish?

Great player have seen him destory centrals on many occasions. Took a great grab at propect against us a few years ago.

I remember when he first started and everyone was talking about this new chf for north who was a man mountain.

Only fault I Could find with Clint was he wasnt the most reliable kick for goal.

I think the fact Nick Gill was his forward partner hid how bad Clint's kicking was sometimes.

Rumour has it OTR was more emotional than Brett Duncanson at Clint's press conference.

A top player who I would have loved to have playing in red and blue, even despite the periodic brain fades.

Rumour has it that Norwood and North offered him similar money and it was his opinion that Dale Lewis was a noted d*ckhead that saw him end up out at Prospect.
