From our last game, three out of our spine players were out. Full forward, full back and centre half back all out.
Great debut by Nelson, supporters have been calling for this for weeks now.
Chris Schmidt was excellent as was Caire, both Fishers and Birss.
Another hoodoo we have broken this year

A much better brand of footy from Westies today. They had more long kicks (65-55), better disposal efficiency (73%-67%), more contested possessions (132-120), greater run-and-carry with more handball receives (100-75) and running bounces (23-8).

Didn't look like it. We were terrible. This is the second game where a team has come out and attacked the ball and the man hard and Centrals couldn't handle it.
Hopefully we can pull ourselves together otherwise we won't be troubling anyone in the finals.

Dutschke was having his back checked in hospital, now they are checking his kidneys. Hope that works out better than it's sounding.

The result itself wasnt the biggest issue imho.
Two real real big problems
1. Players were playing for finals spots so the intensity, agression and workrate should have still been there
2. Thanks to lack of crowd got to hear alot of the onfield conversations and instructions. There was ALOT of selfishness from experience players you would not have expected. It was the most selfish lazy performance i have seen since 1990!!!!!

Now the excuses are starting to pop out.
Well done Westies, keep it going.

You summed it up beautifully. With the talent we had in the reserves today you'd think they would have been fighting for their spots but they didn't give anything.
Very disappointing.
Highlight of the day was the West player running into an open goal and missing. Finally something went our way!!

I learnt I have to stay away - Both time west have beaten hoodoos (Unley and Elizabeth) this year, I was absent. I went to Elizbaeth last time

Tippett and Bricknell will be hand inclusions next week
Here's hoping Webby recovers well from his op and the thugs who hit Centrals O'brien get some justice coming there way.

One saying they didnt look intersted, another saying their attack on the ball was terrible and another saying they were selfish.
I would say thats hardly excuses more reason for a very poor performance.
West were miles the better team and there was a reason for that, it was hardly Central at there best today they were awful.
Thats twice now this season Wests have belted Centrals.

I am and the only excuse I can see is the team that you support. A poor excuse for a football club.
