Rnd 20 - Central v West @ Playford Alive Oval (Sat 11/8)

The Doggies and Bloods are coming off a rest and this clash is probably match of the round and a possible preview of the Qualifying Final. The Dogs were in good form before the bye and West dropped a game to North prior to their break. Both sides match up well although the visitors will miss Tippett and Bricknell through suspension.

Central also trialling a big replay screen, taking the ABC TV feed - http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/sout ... 6444115809

Broadcast Details - ABC TV from 2:00pm

Favourite game of the season - past players marquee day! Rarely a bad day at the footy when the grog is cheap, bbq free and lots of funny blokes in attendance. 8-)

If West play the same style as their last game you will need plenty of that cheap grog

Ian callinan has struggled at the crows in the last three weeks only kicking 1 goal and getting 10 possessions a week. He will probably keep his spot this week but one more quiet week and Sando might want Nutter back at SANFL to get some touch. Being a rookie he only needs 3 games to qualify for centrals finals. And the crows will go deep in September even if he doesn't qualify, could possibly be a big inclusion for the dogs.

Think he was elevated from the rookie list this season....will need 5 games so we wont see him in the finals (unfortunately)

My mail from the NFC is that it is now a flat 5 games to qualify regardless of AFL player status.

Perhaps others might like to check with their clubs and post on this subject

Cheers

Daniel Webb is apparently having an operation on his shoulder tomorrow so not sure why he is named.

Logan Hill and Webb the 2 to miss imo.

From the named Central side i would think Waldhutter and O'Brien would be the two to miss out.

He got injured against North 2 weeks ago.

If the Crows do make it to the Grand Final but do not select Callinan in any of the lead-in finals, does that mean he would play for Central though, having him available for the Qualifying Final and either the First or Second Semi Final? I personally hope that he plays for the Crows in the finals, for his own sake.
Cheers

Once crows are done, so is he.

True, but he could play on Semi Final week if not selected for the Crows. The question would then be whether Central would play him, knowing he would not be available thereafter. All hypothetical anyway, hopefully he plays in a premiership for the Crows.
