The quality of the comp is way down. Centrals are definitely on the downward slide. It's a great year to be playing SANFL because most sides are so crap that even crapper sides like the Bays and West have a chance of playing in a grand final.

The Bays have a chance of playing in the GF?

Is it a below standard competition, or are we trying to compare it against the style and professionalism of the AFL?

We cannot use the WAFL and the VFL as standards as clubs have not sent full strength teams to the Foxtel Cup, whether we believe in it or not, to find out if the football that is played each week in Adelaide is actually better or worse.

The games gets nowhere near the coverage of days gone by, therefore there are no big time good players that can be talked about at work, down the pub or on the bus/tram/trains, which results in portraying lesser skills and future stars.
