Certainly had a massive season. Always was a massive loss for South. Reckon Symes would have pinched a bunch of votes off him.

no more Symes maybe might make a difference.

I think Symes will be back with Central next game, and for the rest of the season.

Ladder updated. When was the last time the bottom four sides were all equal on wins and losses?!!!

Player and team leaderboards will be up in a bit after today's game stats are confirmed.

Wooden Spooner wins in a 20 game season
2011 - Sturt 5
2010 - South 2
2009 - South 2
2008 - West 3
2007 - West 3
2006 - West 2
2005 - West 3
2004 - Norwood 4
2003 - North 1 (plus 2 draws)
2002 - Glenelg 3
2001 - Glenelg 3 (plus 1 draw)
2000 - Glenelg 3
1999 - North 2
1998 - Glenelg 4
1997 - South 4
1996 - Sturt 4
1995 - Sturt 0
1994 - Sturt 5
1993 - Sturt 4

From 1977 to 1992 SANFL ran a 22 game season
most wins from a wooden spooner
1979 - West 7 (plus 1 draw)
1986 - West Torrens 6
1985 - Woodville 6
1987 - South 5
1978 - North 5
1977 - Central 5 (plus 1 draw)

In 1953 South finished last with a 5-13 record in an 18 game season

No other wooden spooner between 1877-1977 won 5 games.

So most wins by a wooden spooner
- West 1979 (7) record 7-14-1

Least number of losses by a wooden spooner (since World War Two)
- South 1953 (13) record 5-13

I think you will find that the Eagles have used 36 players (not 28) this year.

Good eye. For some reason it was showing old data for that stat for a couple of teams since Round 16. All fixed now. :D

Scott FYI, I understand Glenelg have been given the win for the round 5 game against South in the 18s that got abandoned due to the lights not working at Carlunga and were to get the percentage from their "win" in Rd 14 against South except they lost so the %age is yet to be determined, so Glenelg are on 16 pts not 14.
