I think you sured that up last week, but you are right, Norwood are winning while not playing at their best...

Some promising kids coming through as well getting their opportunity to play League footy, including Luccon the ruckman tonight...

Rnd 18 - Norwood v Port POST GAME DISCUSSIONS

Postby RustyCage » Fri Jul 27, 2012 11:33 pm

Big jimmy meiklejohn was the stand out for Port with 62 hit outs, our midfield wasn't able to make the most of it though. We didn't play to the conditions, overused the ball and our decision making was woeful at times. Norwood moved the ball better than we did and kept us at arms length all game. Even without the ride they got from the umps they still would have won.

Good win marred by some poor kicking for goal.
Yes the Port ruckmen towelled us up in the hitout department but I thought they were towelled up by Dawe around the ground, would think the Port rucks would have struggled to get 10 touches between them.
And thanks to the Port fans for gloating how good their ressies were and how crap our ressies are. Good to see they are content with putting out a stacked ressies side while persisting with playing duds like Salopek and Wilson in their league side

Whatever dude, Sals 3rd game for the magpies and the ball didn't get down Wilsons end for 2 quarters. But great to see you clearly know football.

From what I observed Norwood are a well drilled side with a very good coach who have been better resourced than the Magpies for longer.

Make the most of it Redlegs fans, you won't have him next year.

28 shots to 11 and you're blaming the umpires? No problems.

Once again the vice does its job, Norwood's tackling was intense all night best illustrated by King Terlo mowing down Wilson as he strolled in for what he thought was a gimme late into time on of the last.

Any other toys you want to toss out of the cot while you're at it?
