Rnd 18 - North v West @ Prospect Oval (Sat 28/7)

Postby Big Phil » Mon Jul 23, 2012 12:22 pm

Both sides coming off good wins with North winning on the road at Noarlunga and Westies bouncing back against the Tigers after a slow first half of footy. There has been a bit of ill feeling between these 2 clubs the last few meeting so this one should be set up to be an intruiging contest.

Cock's should win & win easily !

We are playing another team above us, which normally means a win :?

Lucky their not below us on the Ladder, or we would have no hope

Plus a great record against them, only loosing like 3 of the last 20 and it's at prossy, where we are due to win at home and their due for a loss #:-s

Must have missed that?

The only ill feeling is towards some of their supporters who thankfully have mostly abandoned this site and gone to the "warm and fluffy" hold hand site of the main culprit.

Wasn't their a big fight in this corresponding game at Prospect last year where Ben MacReadie and Jimmy Allan were at each other, with MacReadie getting suspended, maybe?

Perhaps I was thinking of the Bays v North games?

Maybe it was the year before last, then?

Perhaps a Bloods fan who remembers can confirm it, or not?

A chance for the Bloods to get closer to centrals this week end. With only one win between us here is a chance for the Bloods to try and bridge the gap. Like last weekend it is important for the Bloods to win because it will nearly cement third spot. Both sides haven't liked each other since 1991. Should be a cracking game and I am tipping the bloods to win by 6 goals

Other than one game last year, I haven't seen any ill feeling at all between the two clubs. In fact I would argue it is the absolute opposite. Two games in 22 years hardly suggests that the clubs haven't liked each other since 1991.

Last year. West had 3 players reported. North 1. Macreadie, Morris, Birss and Delvins I think.

It was the game that derailed our season, three suspensions and four injuries IIRC. Really showed up our lack of depth

Didn't we beat Centrals last year without Allan?

Daniel Stewart should be back for North.
