Rnd 17 - South v North @ Hickinbotham Oval (Sun 22/7)

Postby Big Phil » Mon Jul 16, 2012 12:02 pm

The Panther will be coming off a bye but hosting the Roosters with a terrible record on home soil of late. North were very disappointing against the Maggies last week and Josh Francou would be expected a big response from his charges. South have a very potent forward line so the North's defence will need to be at it's best while the two respective midfield will go toe to toe with some very classy players.

With South still eyeing off third spot, I expect us to win by 10 goals.

Don't forget it is at home, DOC ;)

I'd suspect South would be happy to just get a win, regardless of margin :)

North fans should hope their team is down by about 4 goals at half time then south
will have their usually second half sleep at home and the game will be their for north to lose.

seeing as north only beat the teams above them on the ladder, and get smashed by those below them, we should win this. but in reality, with north its anyones guess!

Roosters will start all fired up after the baking they have copped this week. South havn't won after a bye since never, we may be without Andy Otten this week and no Shaun McKernan for the rest of the year and we play rubbish at home, to tight to call.

The Roosters let me down again last week, losing to Port @ Prospect.

If they cannot win @ Prospect, how are they going to win @ Noarlunga   :D ;)

South to consolidate 5th spot for now.... :D

South need to stand up and win a match at home, not sure which will fire up either side the most, Francou's roasting of the Roosters or the pressure on South to win one at home.

South are no certainty to win this one, yet as an SAFC supporter I will tip them anyway by less than two goals.

People keep talking about this being fired or revved up factor for North. So they would be now but not after getting thrashed by the Eagles or Sturt? Give me a break.
And the fact that South fade out of games, anyone remember the previous meeting between these sides?
South by plenty.
