5 teams will participate in finals action, obviously, and as we saw last year - anything can happen in finals !!!

When you say 'anything can happen', never mind say South making the 5 then going all the way to the grannie-- my question is: Can Centrals be beaten in a minor final?

Sounds good to me. Each game on its merits. I would still back Centrals now if I had to pick betwen them and Norwood due to their outstanding finals consistency.

No, only 1 can actually win The Premiership.

History says that since 1973 only twice has a team outside the top 3 won a flag.
So almost every year it's a race in 3.
West have beaten Central and pushed Norwood to a 1 pt loss so cant be totally discounted.
If somehow West falter and Glenelg can steal third then they will be heavy underdogs in a Qualifying Final v Central.

glenelg cant get 3rd spot even if it is mathematically possible
results during the minor round really count for nothing in september but on what has been displayed this year norwood and centrals are the GF teams

Is this belief responsible for Glenelg losing all those grand finals?

MT, a lot could come down to this Friday night, given the teams have similar draws leading up to the finals, and would only take a Bay win against Nwd or Cent, or a Blookds slip against a bottom four team, and this would make the difference.
Agree with the sentiment, so far West have been better this year, but you never know.

I can say with confidence that Glenelg has entered every Grand Final it has played in with the belief that only 2 teams could win the premiership.

Hell, I'd like West to win it. Central have won too many recently, Norwood are almost as bad as Port, but Westies are sort of nice red and black folk who don't bother anyone except once every thirty odd years.
Let West win it I say!
