Round 16 - Central v Sturt @ Playford Alive Oval (Sat 14/7)

Postby Big Phil » Mon Jul 09, 2012 6:37 pm

Coming off the disappointing performance against the Redlegs on Sunday, the Dogs now face face Sturt on home soil. There will need to be much improvement in the side, up against a Double Blues outfit who were pretty poor against the Bloods, but did touch up the Bulldogs last time they met, at Unley. No doubt, there will be some changes to both sides, forced or unforced, in what should be an interesting contest. Central will be hoping to bolster their defensive stocks with the return of Collier and Sibenaler from injury.

Fantastic work by the Bulldogs, in particular the Gowans twins, to be involved with a great organisation like Novita and be so charitable for what is a very important cause.

I just hope we give our all for 4 whole quarters.
Amazing stats in the opening post, Dogs winning 12 of the last 13 against Sturt on their home turf.
Massive home ground advantage, with blokes coming back from injury, the Dogs should be a very dangerous opponent for the Blues. We'll need to be switched on just to avoid a demolition.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Centrals side for the weekend

INS
T.Collier
Y.Sibenaler
J.Waldhutter

OUTS
J.Sutherland

The defence looks alot stronger with the two big men back. Beautiful

Would think if everyone is fit one of the Gowans and Reichart would be the 2 to drop out.

I would think both Gowans boys will play - this is the special Novita Charity game for which they are both ambassadors for and will be auctioning off their worm match day shorts to raise much needed funds for Novita.

Are you implying that the Dogs are handing out token games BP?
Surely if they are not in the best they dont get a game.

Not at all mate, but I do get where you are coming from...

For mine, the current form of BOTH the twins warrants their selection in the League side.

Both were servicable last week (apart from the usual undiscipline) and on form alone, would be in my side this week if I were a selector.
