Updated. Have included a tackle count in the leading goalkickers tally this week to give an idea of the type of defensive pressure the forwards apply.

Incredibly if Grocke's shot after the siren had scored a point North would still have been fifth and South sixth. I know that it's ifs, buts and maybes but it is incrediby close percentage at this stage of the year.

Yeah, you wouldn't want that happening last game of the year where a team sneaks in the finals by a single kick over a whole year !

Interesting to now if it has ever happened though  8-| :-?

In 1966 in the last minor round Port had to beat South at ALberton by something like 23 points to overtake South and get the double chance. Port won by about 28 points in a controversial and sometimes violent game. This was in the days of the final four thus South, who had a number of injured players were relegated to the first semi final which they duly lost to North. Port on the other hand played Sturt in the second semi final and won by a point. Sturt then thrashed North in the preliminary final before thrashing Port in the Grand Final
