South ran out of gas, perhaps playing on the large MCG and the massive 45 minute flight took a fair bit out of them ;)

:( Another win goes begging yet again. Apart from the two losses against the Eagles in Rd 7 and Port in Rd 11, the other six we've held the lead (and in some cases led quite comfortably) and ultimately ran out of legs and lost.

Rd 1 v West (H) - led by 27 points at Q2 13m ... West last 11 goals to lose by 38 points (65-point turnaround)
Rd 3 v Sturt (H) - led by 1 point at Q4 11m ... Sturt 3 of last 4 goals to lose by 13 points (14-point turnaround)
Rd 4 v Centrals (A) - led by 6 points at Q4 18m ... Centrals 10 of last 13 goals to lose by 44 points (50-point turnaround)
Rd 9 v West (A) - tied at Q2 10m ... West 12 of last 16 goals to lose by 48 points (48-point turnaround)
Rd 10 v Norwood (H) - led by 20 points at Q3 3m ... Norwood 9 of last 11 goals to lose by 25 points (45-point turnaround)
Rd 14 v Glenelg (H) - led by 25 points at half time ... Glenelg 7 of last 10 goals to lose by 3 points (28-point turnaround)

The only encouraging sign is that we haven't been completely smashed like the South of old, but at the same time I'd rather win two and get smashed in four than lose six by modest margins. When we can learn how to grind out wins like Centrals do week in week out even when they're on the back foot, we'll be a good shot for the flag but until then it's going to be a lot of pain.

Shaun McKernan's stats.

Hopefully South can get him to stick around next year, doubtful though.

Just like watching a "train wreck" after half time .... You could see it coming!!

South are way too predictable !!!!

My patience is wearing very thin ..... :Hangman:

Relieved to get the win in the end.

Could have iced the match in the 3rd with the amount of ball in the forward line but ultimately Fuller's flooding tactics backfired as apart from 5 mins in the last, South weren't looking to score.

Ty Allen single handedly won the match for the Bays, but well assisted by some quality youngsters.

Great mark by 'Leo' Kirk in the last.

FFS, will South please piss off those loudspeakers ... the sound coming out of them is shite and they obstruct the view.

Oh, and normally enjoy he BBQ but tasted like sawdust today.
