Good to see Fitzgerald kick five goals, after debuting a couple of years ago and then had injury troubles since.
Interested to hear from those there in how we structured our forward lines, did Day or Greiger play up there? Either way, Fitzgerald would have had to be a focal point, not playing on the third best defender?

heroes? we were lucky to win remember. but to lose to the bottom club is just crap but was on the cards since we had our slice of luck last week.

Come off it. 25 frees to 23 and the Eagles won comfortably.

Second shocking effort from an inept bunch of B graders. At least thats how it looked.Laughing stock's of the SANFL with very little respect deserved or likely to be forthcoming. Dark day in the history of this team of footballers. Shocking

I thought it was C. Kane's best game for us. Good game in his own right, but keeping Allan to under 10 touches takes some doing.

Umpiring was not great but they don't wear red and white jumpers. We were totally outplayed and it was the most inept display I've seen for a while by a North side and that includes the Glenelg loss earlier in the year. Must congratulate Kane on for doing something that no-one else has managed to do in six years and that is to stop Jimmy Allan. Well done Eagles you played not only for yourselves but did Bob Hank's legacy proud.

What happened? Beat the stand out best team one week then lose to the stand out worse team the next week? Still think north will finish 3rd

Stop patronizing the poor suffering Rooster supporter. Not a snowballs hope in hell of being top three. And if we did it would be a very sad day for the SANFL because it would mean the standard of football had dropped to the worst in the nation

All I can say is I'm not surprised. North haven't been able to play consistent football for years.

Eagles dominated today. Don't think North had a player beat their opponent.

Eagles far too good and exposed glaringy weaknesses with North today. Allan well shut down by Kane although he just doesn't look anywhere near the fitness level he is normally at to run off a tag as he has done for the past 6 years.

North killed in the clearances again - it was even worse today than last week given North's lack of intensity and commitment however you have to credit the Eagles in forcing North to play sloppy unaccountable football.

Lose next week and then 2 byes - our season will be almost shot.

Have to think that Bassett was right last week after all?
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Pfft, ANZAC day 2010 he did the samething allbeit in the 2nd half when he was given the role to shut Allen out of the game at half time. After being BOG to half time with over 20 touches he finsihed with less than 30 IIRC and we can over the top of the Roosters to win

For some stupid reason we never used that tactic again, even when he kicked three in the 1st qtr last year at the Bay, we still didn't make the move...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
