Whudda game!

North Adelaide 11.6 (72)
Norwood 10.11 (71)

James Allan instrumental again for North - 39 disposals, 77% efficiency, 14 contested possessions, 4 scoring involvements, 4 inside 50s and a goal.

Norwood terribly wasteful in front of goal - more inside 50s and way more centre breaks.

Great game to watch on the tube.
Good win for North, well deserved & they had the luck. Umpires seemed to give North the benefit of the doubt at crucial times.
Norwood fans would probably be spewin'. Suck it up fellas ;)

Well done North, you played the better footy and (I thought) probably deserved the win .. Obviously with a margin that small it could have gone either way, but I don't think at any stage did we take our chances aswell as you guys.

Plenty of positives, played our worst game for the season and lost by a point.
A couple of guys were really found out and should be dropped for the rest of the season.
The umpiring was disgraceful, they were lucky it wasnt a final.
Both teams used the ball poorly and turned it over repeatedly, North had more poise infront of goals and I would think they will play finals for sure.
Norwood Simply not good enough and apart from a few great grabs by North a pretty ordinary game allround

Losing to 21 opposition players I can almost stomach, but losing to 24 hurts.

Cant blame the loss on them but North did seem to get a fair ride from one particular maggott in particular.
What was the final count? Felt like North got 10-15 more.
The HTB interpretation was a disgrace today

Is the free kick count meant to be equal?

Thought the count was pretty even actually but they were woeful for both sides.

Interesting to hear Bassetts comments at 3/4 stating he thought Norwood were playing well and was very confident of a win.

HAvent seen any of Norwoods games this year but I thought north's tackling and hits on the body were pretty fierce (and mostly within the rules)
Be interested to hear what some Legs supporters thought about it, thought the pressure from North really upset their (Norwood's) game

Nope, and when you're as undisciplined, kicking poorly for goal and making as many mistakes as we made, it's a cop out to blame the umps .. The game was there to be won and we didn't deliver, simple as that

Of course not. Norwood is supposed to get twice what the opposition gets, on account of them being fine upstanding young men and good sports to boot.

Not necessarily but all people want is consistancy, nothing is worse than when an ump pays a free and 2 minutes later puts the whistle away for an identical situation.
I stood amongst North supporters today and they were going nuts at the umps all day.
Today just seemed like a lucky dip with even the players sometimes bewildered by the decisions.
The HTB interpretation was the worst ive seen at SANFL level, guys getting away with being tackled and pinned legitimately and next minute getting pinged with 4 guys sitting on top of them

I'm disappointed too.
While there were some dubious frees - some the other way too - the real problem, from what I saw on the box, was soft tackling, indirectness, too many handballs, and poor kicking.
I had to check I wasn't in a time warp and watching 2008.

Norths pressure was good all day but when you have guys with AFL experience who cant kick goals from 35m out and continually spray chances you wont win much.
Still had enough chances to win
