North harder at the ball most of the game (and once too bloody hard at the man off the play...), especially the first quarter. Bays tried to get away with a sneaky win but North just lifted enough when it mattered. A missed opportunity for us.

As always Allan and Bennett sensational for North. K Thompson was very, very good in the second half. Lynch and Davenport stood out for the Bays.

Other than Norwood at the top, it seems a very even competition.

To be fair, I didn't actually see it, as I was busy yakking. But not all reports were so glowing - the four blokes I was standing with that saw it seemed to think it was a little off colour.

Great win (in the end!) but we conspired to let them back in twice when we were clearly controlling the game and that could have lost the game for us but at least we gutted it out!

A good all round effort lead by the usual suspects - Allan, Bennett, Thompson, Ivens etc. but I have to question the final 21 selected today?

Knowing Kirk (who was good for the Bays) was named to line up Fwd we gambled on dropping Hall because it was likely to be wet and that the Bays would play Kirk down back on 1 of our 3 tall fwds.

BUT NO we gambled on Blee to look after him all day! Blee is not up to playing on a much bigger opponent like Kirk. Blee is struggling to keep his place in the League team IMO so the the only other option was to move Miles which would have meant either Alleway or Johnston to CHB so we were lucky?

Surely after Hall kept his last 2 opponents in his past 2 games to 1 goal between them he would be considered at least as a defensive back up on the bench???

Go in next week with only Blee and Miles as key defenders then we will not get close to Nwd.

It was right in front of where I was standing. It was a fair shepherd just as the player with the ball kicked it. Considering that no Glenelg players seemed to protest the bump, suggests that it wasn't that bad.

You by your own admission didn't see it so why would you comment??? Were the 4 blokes standing with you "off colour" meaning they are the typical Glenelg Sunday afternoon supporter or interested neutral, wear no GFC colours and only go to the Bay when the sun shines on the Sunday???

IMO, nothing really wrong with it. A bit late but thats footy.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

A radio commentator called for the hip and shoulder to be "looked at" and "toned down".

Can't blame football for getting soft, as the rule makers are just following main stream societies lead.

a) Because I'm opinionated, and don't like North Adelaide.

b) Colours.
