U16 Grand Final

I was informed last night that the reason why the Glenelg v Norwood Grand Final is being played AFTER the Crows game instead of BEFORE is that the SANFL don't want to give away tickets to parents and supporters of the U16 teams.
What a total disgrace to deprive these young kids the opportunity to play in front of many thousands of people all for the sake of a few tickets ... tickets that would probably not be bought anyway unless a sell out.
How much more would it cost to light the stadium AFTER the game than to play the game early in the day with no lights ?
Apparently parents and supporters will not be allowed into the game until late into or after the Crows game. Where will they park ?
Just goes to show the SANFL are purely landlords now as holders of the AFL licences. They have no interest and do not in any way support the local clubs ... the clubs who are the shareholders on the SANFL. Time to sack this lot and put people in charge who have the interest of football at heart not just money.

IF true then that is disgraceful.
Then again, the way some Norwood supporters go on, lol.

They played an U11 game before the AFL game today so I presume they gave tickets to their family so I'm not sure that is the reason. That game would have been a lot quicker.
They often play a game after the AFL game now a days if its an early start because they have to clear the oval so long before the AFL game its not worth having a curtain raiser. They would have had to have started about 9am this morning if they played the U16's GF first.

Could not have been played prior to the AFL match for it to start at a reasonable time.

In the SANFL's infinite wisdom they play each team once plus a Grand Final to determine the winner

I think you'll find its more to do with the teams losing half their players to College footy. The Colleges wont let them play anything but school footy, therefore the season is wrapped up a couple of weeks into term two.

Why do the colleges think they are more important than anyone else?

Because parents sign enrolment forms that states college footy is more important.
