A disappointing result for Sturt obviously...

I'm pleased they weren't blown away, as I was concerned about that before the first bounce. Unlike the pundits who seemed to see Sturt as the favourite, I thought North were clear favourites today. Last season, North were a much better team than us, but for some reason we just kept beating them. Today, we once again lost the game because of one poor quarter, 6.7 to 3.0 in the 2nd term meant we were lucky to be 4 goals down and not 6-7 and game over...

That said, it was good to see Sturt fight back in the last. I didn't expect that and they did put themselves into a position where they could steal another close one this year. Alas, they didn't. Based on the opening 5 games, I think its clear Sturt will finish in the bottom couple of spots. If Port improve at some point, Sturt will get back to back spoons, which would be disgraceful, but apart from Port, I can't see anyone else being down there, maybe South will join us to make it a three way fight.

... though I think South have much more potential to win games.

A lot still to do at Sturt, I don't think the team is playing Maloney's way as yet, it may take half the season to get things sorted, so there's always hope for a second half surge... fingers crossed it happens for us die hards.

Well done you lovely Cock's !

Well deserved win, lead basically all day, but should of been well over at half time !

Would of been injustice if we had lost to them again =p~

Great effort from the Roosters, lost a couple of big bodies prior to selection .

Great 2nd 1/4 where they ran the ball well and if not for a couple of easy misses may have had the game done and dusted at the half.

3rd 1/4 pretty even but why would North have Cohen Theile kicking in from fullback, made 2 horrific errors up till then had been playing well.

Last 1/4 saw Sturt dominate and get to the lead but to the Roosters credit all dug deep and through sheer hard work got back in front and took the points.

Hopefully this will give the side more belief, they have the talent on the park, just have to put it all together.

Sturt definately not disgraced apart from the 2nd 1/4 but also showed alot to fight back.

He wasn't too confident during the week, neither was I.

North have beaten last year's wooden spooners and premiers. HOORAY

He is one of the best kicks at the club.

I agree with you Locky - Thiele should not be kicking out from FB. Kriston Thompson is the best kick out from a behind.

Good win given we should led by more at half time and had only 1 on the bench for all of second half after Delvins did his knee. Looks like the season for him. George Thring dislocated elbow - 2-4 weeks at best. With those injuries it gave extended time in the middle to Luke Davey and Max Thring and they both contributed well.

Daniel Currie played his best game to date.

So in your team set up TSG you would have Thiele kicking in from fullback is that what you are saying :?

I think it was the first 5 words that TSG was referring to.

Sturt just can't put together 4 quarters of footy...

Without Brodie Martin we'd have lost by at least 5 goals. North looked great in the second qtr but no better than Sturt in the other 3.

They teased us in the first two weeks. The last 3 weeks have shown we're pretenders...

Martin, Sheedy, Jenkins were consistent across the day.

:(
