Thought I'd put this one up earlier than usual since the game's on Wednesday, I can't see the Eagles getting close but stranger things have happened.

Centrals to rack up a cricket score.
Eagles will need a massive turn around to get within 10 goals.
At 0-6 its time to start organising the footy trip

Eagles have to lift its ANZAC day FFS and on their own turf.
Central have rarely belted teams in recent years and i would expect us to start now.
Provided Hardy plays i think we will have enough guns to win.
Dogs by 21 points.

Yesterdays eagles game against the Roosters was the worst I have ever seen them play.
Made the Roosters look a Champion team.
Full Credit to North.
If they keep playing that style of footy, they won't win a game this year.
Something is amiss at Oval Avenue...
"Warning Signs"
Can the Club Recover....?

The Dogs are not playing well, but the Eagles are not playing....

Footy is a funny game. I hope the footy gods are not paying attention.
Go Dogs.

Danger game for the Dogs, the Eagles will be sick of losing. Would also be hoping Craig Parry will play for them as well.
Will the Crows allow Brad Symes to play for the Dogs? He didn't play any football this weekend, as he was emergency for Adelaide.

Obviously desperation stakes for the Eagles. Time to do something a bit different, and I reckon that is to play anyone with some pace such as Batley, Lindsay (although notice he wasn't named in the 2's). Given both teams are coming off a four day break and heavy grounds, pace could be a big factor towards the end of the game.

Even the most supreme optimist will find it hard to justify selecting the Eagles in this one.
I suspect the score won't be the blow out that some expect, but notwithstanding that, Central should win comfortably.
The real question is how will the Eagles respond to a shocking start to the season ... that alone will almost be more important than the final score.

Please note game start is 2.40pm
(not 3.10pm as normally on ANZAC Day)
The ANZAC Day Ceremony including Motorcade of Veterans, Ode, Last Post etc
Starts at 2.20pm so do the right thing by the diggers and get there early.
1197am RPH Radio Broadcast commences from 2.30pm
It will NOT be telecast on ABC TV
so if you want to see the action live you will need to be there.
All welcome .
Eagles members who "bring a mate" can go in the running to win a signed football from the match,
the first ever traditional ANZAC DAY game played at Woodville. (refer e-mail sent last week for entry form).

Agreed. Too many times in the last decade we've cracked a side open like a tin of baked beans and then pulled up halfway through the third quarter to only win by about 40 points because we're already thinking about next week...
I want to see Centrals kick a side while they're down!

I can remember a couple of occasions when this wasn't the case

by on the rails
Eagles are due and too good a side not win one eventually but their effort on Saturday was as poor an effort from them as I have ever seen in a minor round game considering North's "form" coming into the match. I cannot see them turning that around in 4 days!

Yeah between 01-04 iirc was the era where we were really belting teams 100 point wins a few times a year. In the last few years i would be surprised if we have won to many games by more than 10 goals.

I blame Laird and his flood tactics.

Why's it not on tv????
I'm guessing it's too hard to get the cameras from the march to Oval Avenue.

On this Memorable Day, it definately should be on TV
Someone should step up to the plate
If it was run properly, there should be a dawn service at the oval and continue from there.
All Televised.
