Really crap game and Sturt were poor . Sturt today played a couple of guys that just are not up to it. Sam Miles has been given many opportuunities and is just not a league player and Paul Cahill is a way off League standard. Their are players in the reserves that must be ahead of these two , one being Josh Cubillo who must be an inclusion next week.

West played pretty well in the wet and werethe best team on the day.

Well done to West in a hard fought win, Sturt totally out marked all over the ground while West pretty well marked everything. Very poor effort by Sturt, fumbled a lot and poor skills.

Was surprised that he was in the two's myself in the first place but am assuming there must be more to that.

As usual we tried to do too much with a wet ball and it was particularly frustating given the comments that Maloney made in the budget but I guess when you've been doing it for so long it's going to be hard for him to get them out of the habit in wet conditions but West certainly had the better of the play for most of the match and particularly in the last quarter and a bit.

Have to mention that within 5 minutes of the end of the game there were certain people who were walking their dogs on the oval even though it was p***ing down with rain! If we weren't completely sure that these individuals were trouble makers for us with the council, we certainly are now!

Still had done nothing in the 3 matches after round 1 against South and deserved to be dropped in my opinion.

It probably came down to Webb or Still to be dropped.

Webb and Borholm (who replaced Still) all performed well against Sturt from all reports and would be stiff to be dropped after that effort. I guess they will need to perform in the foxtel cup game on saturday to justify a spot against Port the week after.

Haven't heard anything on Brad Fisher's eye injury so Still may take his spot if serious.
