Random observations:

- Lights look good, not too obvious, and the one on Snout's Hill has been set back from the boundary, thereby preserving the character of the hill. Ground adequately lit except for the pockets right in front of the light towers which were extremely dark. Need a few globes pointing directly down. Also need light on the scoreboard and time clock.

- Siren is still inaudible.

- Glenelg not inept despite large influx of new and relatively-new players.

- West better disciplined than in recent seasons and with some good leg speed.

- umpires very quick to blow the whistle and gave frees in many instances when they could have let the game go. No bias, just a little bit of over-umpiring.

- fairly high pressure game with lots of congestion and only a few free-flowing passages. Not the most attractive game I've seen but hey, it was football 8)

- Lewis Hender probably BOG for Glenelg for mine, also thought Ty Allen, Sam Rudolph, Josh Trembath, Lachy Button among the better players.

The lights were good, just need some fine tuning.

Scrappy game. haven't seen a decent game v West for a long time. West play that crappy style of footy that is shit to watch.

Happy with the Bays and the endeavour of the newbies. A wins a win...

Could count the West supporters on one hand ... very disappointing.

The Bays did enough to win without doing anything out of the ordinary. Controlled the game in the 2nd half but never were far enough ahead to be safe. Some good efforts by the youngsters, Hender was a stand out with 5 goals.

West's negative game plan will get them nowhere. What I don't understand is that when they attack they look very good, but unfortunately they persist with the flood most of the time.

All and all a good night with some fine tuning to be done with the lights, but they were very good and about time it happened.

I hope everyone left the ground quietly and didn't cause mayhem in the streets.

Would this be the 1st time ever that no club after 2 rounds has 2 wins?
