Rnd 2 - Central v Norwood @ Playford Alive (Sat N 31/3)

Postby Big Phil » Mon Mar 26, 2012 10:36 am

The trial games are over and now the real season is here with the Dogs first up game against Norwood, two sides that have formed a nice rivarly with in recent years, this Saturday night under lights at the Ponderosa.

Dogs fans have asked for night footy to be back at Playford Alive Oval and it is, so let's hope a big crowd turn up. This should be a pretty good contest with possibly a few AFL players lining up for both sides.

I'm sure supporters from both clubs will also be keen to see the new faces playing their first games for their respective clubs.

Weather should be good so head out to Elizabeth for this one...

Round 2 v Norwood

My possible Dogs line-up

f: Templeton Westoff O'Brien
hf: C.Gowans Hayes Williams
c: Symes Goodrem Jenner
hb: Sansbury Collier Schiller
b: Marschall Sibenaler Barmby

r: Hannath Thomas Boyd
int: Hardy/Claughton Colqhourn/Habel J.Gowans

others around the mar- Fry, Haydon, Nason, Reichart

Might have Ricky Henderson as well which would be a huge bonus as i think we are short on quality forwards.

Dogs to win this one by 5-6 goals. Forget trial form, the Dogs showed enough in different times of the game on Saturday to get me pumped for another crack at the premiership. Roy, as with most other coaches played with players and positons for most of the trial games but I did notice that when we put a "settled" side on the park the boys looked good.

Best time to play the Dogs is early so hopefully we can sneak this one.
Should be a willing affair as usual.

got to agree the whole car stealing/centrelink jokes are boring...

having said that lets hope no dickheads from either side's supporter base ruin the night with stupid behaviour.

should be a cracking game. i thought Norwood were a real chance until last weeks trial game.

SDK has a point...if Central's are going to lose it will be early...

Agreed.

Don't encourage him. When someone's own supporters are sick of the same 'jokes' it is time to move on

Any truth in the rumour doing the rounds that Norwood employed a sports psychologist in the off season to deal with any problems relating to their 2011 finals performance?

Also, will we get a decent turn out of Norwood supporters for this match?

Are you complaining about the last time we played at the Ponderosa, recon that was a crowd to be proud of!!! for both sides.

Legs Fans, forget the crap about car stealings , damaged or getting mugged, you can get that anytime in the City, The Ponderosa is a great ground to see footy at its best.

See you there "Fortis in Procella" Brave in a Storm is our true club Motto, how can we expect the players to turn up if we don't.

Cheers,

So yet again this thread is dominated by Centrals supporters telling us how wonderful they are.

Norwood should win by 6 goals + I think we have the right blend of youth and experience. Blow what Centrals supporters have to say i have a right to say what I want and not get hounded. As far as i can see Centrals will struggle this year......
