Not a good look for the Glenelg board and admin in the story in today's paper, the judge was rightfully scathing about their amateur approach.

Yeah sounded like their management or lawyer didn't cover themselves in glory with their application to make a fairly significant alteration to the approval they were given. Any idea when they can next apply to have the conditions altered? Wonder if they will wait until 2013 season to try and include junior games and school games.

Any opposition ground with lights is one more game I can go to being a predominately weekend worker.
Hope they are up this year.
The Richmond experience during the day makes me feel like vomiting but last year under lights it was a much better atmosphere.
Might try the Dogs this year for round 1 ..... or is it 2 .... maybe 1.5. Thanks Mr. Chandler.
Can the Eggs use Thebarton at night ?
Are North still interested in playing night games at Norwood .... oops Coopers ?
Hope the Magpies try and get a few big games at Adelaide.
Guess we can forget about Sturt, sure the neighbours would love the lights disturbing their nocturnal activities on The Common !
Oh btw ..... well done Bays and congrats !

With the change in Board and Administration I don't think that we will hear of any harebrained schemes like playing home games at Adelaide or Norwood Ovals. Remember the week of the 2007 Grand Final when the then CEO announced that North would be playing a number of home games at Adelaide Oval because of its better corporate facilities in 2008. This announcement certainly didn''t cost North the flag, Central were much too good, but it was a ludicrous announcement all the same. So was taking North home games to Norwood. I know North have a fantastic record under lights at Norwood, but it still isn't home.

"Oh we of little faith", they will work and you will find it brings a new atmosphere to the Bay for home games, much like the appeal it has at Norwood for Friday night games.
Might even wander down from my Brighton abode and watch one or two myself seeing as the SANFL has seen fit to abandon the Parade as its great income spinner to the season opener

.
Cheers,
