Gordon Schwartz, the former Advertiser sports writer and radio and TV commentator, has just had successful open heart surgery in
Melbourne.

Gordon, who is in his 90th year, played three games for Norwood in 1946-47 tbefore transferring to West Torrens.

He has been visited in hospital by Neil Craig, possibly with the aim of signing him up for a comeback with the Demons. Maybe he's the extra recruit that Mark Ross is said to be looking for.

Gordon was one of the main SANFLmedia commentators many years ago.

Always enjoyed listening to or watching him.

One of the finest men you could ever know. We'll even forgive the Norwood connection. ;)
All the best Gordon.
