For 21 years (7 on this forum), we (the supporters of the former Woodville & West Torrens Football Clubs) have taken jibe after jibe about;
"No soul", "The Wiggles", "Hybrids", "Soft Option Merger", "Centrals 'Bitches'", "Soft", "No Supporters", "Pathetic", etc. etc. from predominantly Sturt & North Supporters (on here at least).

Centrals supporters (in most cases) have been fair & in general humble in their enjoyment of success - they are a truely wonderful Footy Club, the benchmark of our competition.

Some on here (usually those who support under-achieving clubs, during this century) have been at pains to call many of my fellow Eagles supporters (& me included) all sorts of names from "unintelligent" to "idiotic" & worse - "sticks & stones" but...

Woodville West Torrens Football Club has stood tall.
Through the pain of defeat (2000, 2001, 2005) & the embarrassment of 2004, OUR Club has stood up to be counted MORE than any other against a supreme opponent in Central District.

We have often been 'slammed' for having no supporters - fair criticism in ONE respect, most of our supporters are elderly. But we also have many LOYAL younger supporters (paid up members) that go week in week out & SUPPORT not criticise our players.

The Club but more importantly the PLAYERS deserve their success yesterday - they have shown tremendous character to come back (after the QF debarkle). Stalwarts of our club such as Cicca, Powell, Jarrad, Macca, Grokes & Treeby DESERVE this.

Personally, yesterday was a wonderful day. Not only did we win but I backed us on Thornton as well (negotiating a better price than the $3.40 on offer I might add )

Yeah but i still like the sound of Wiggles Woodville/West Torrens for its a term of respect.

plus they are the only team to have a fortress at the ground. The kids love those bouncy castles/fortresses

Here is a question for Aerie the stats man can you tell me how many finals games have Woodville/West Torrens and also Centrals have played in since 1991 in comparison to Port Adelaide Magpies since 1991 i know Central have played finals since 1994 till 2011 except for 1999 but i am not sure of games for the period 1991 to 1993 i would suggest that both clubs must have played close to 30 finals games in this period ?????

Aerie i mean at least 30 finals games each against all clubs in this period 1991 to 2011 !

Just Sturt and North supporters hey? If we were that concerned we would have given it to you this year when you walked around Woodville Oval like a tool carrying that sign you made at kindy!

Seriously you don't think any other teams and their supporters get paid out? Posts like this one are not going to help your cause!

One to add who cops a bit of a bagging here at times is the bloke who sells the raffle tickets.
Must have raised $1000's for the Eagles over the years by getting out there.

Plenty of North and Sturt supporters posting after losing. Come to think of it, alot of West supporters went missing half way through the year.

LEH, congratulations on the clubs win yesterday, take pride in it and bask in the glow. WWT have been easily the 2nd best team for over a decade.
Your initial post shows just what a chip you carry mate, maybe just try to enjoy your lot and let others worry about theirs.

C'mon mate give me a break. I did say "Your club was sensational yesterday".
I am not defending North Adelaide in any way, shape or form. The fact that we have not won a premiership for 20 years is a disgrace. There is no hiding from that.
And again, to do what WWTFC did yesterday was absolutely awesome from the whole of SA football's perspective even some of the Centrals supporters.
Gloating is fine you won the bloody premiership so gloat all you like but don't have a chip on your shoulder and just be humble about it, and you LEH weren't.
