Just curious to hear what other people think.

I know he is contracted for next year but surely that can't be honored given his performance over the last 4 years.

For me its a NO!

Came out an publicly stated he had a 3 year plan to get Westies in the finals, failed on that last year but got away with the we won more games than the previous year so were heading in the right direction. This year has turned out to be a horrible failure no matter what way you try and spin it.

At a guess would say they have recruited more players than any other club, despite this their depth seems to be very shallow and their reserves are sitting around the bottom for another year.

Only positive is their Under 18's are struggling at the moment so they might get to hold onto a few more players who will turn out to be good SANFL players.

Personally i think Mickan may get the job if he wants it, he managed to turn Glenelg around very quickly with what was a worse squad at the time he took over.

Highest paid coach in the league - has bought in more recuits that any other club in thde last 4 years (many of swhich have gone already) and still cant get hisw team in the top 5 of a nine-team comp.

The only thing this guy is the master of is "excuses and mind-games".

If he gets the chop part-way through the season you'll be right.

Collins will get next season at the Bloods, he is contracted and its unclear whether the club have the coin to pay out the contract which is their legal obligation should they wish to give him the sack. I doubt that he would simply agree to leave as likely he is quite confident that he can turn it around next season.

I think the actual Drought of the past few years has really hit the WAFC hard with players opting to stay in the Riverland and play local footy because they are needed on the family property. Sometimes reality of life can be pretty hard to overcome when you are chasing your dream of playing footy. Think that situation will begin to improve over the next season though and think West will come good as a result.

I feel Collins will be there next year although he shouldn't be. Finances and an inability to pay him out restricts any movement to sack him I feel.

West missed finals at all three levels this season, only team not represented in finals.
Disappointing stuff from the western lot...

South scrape into the finals and Westies miss out, Fuller achieves in two years what Collins has not been able to do in the four seasons at West. I still think he should go on next season but I concede that would have to be a pretty bitter pill to swallow for the stalwarts that support Westies week in and week out.

... and if South accepts an invitation to the Foxtel Cup next year, Fuller will have taken only 3 years to do what took Collins 4.

For one West couldnt afford to pay him out.

Secondly I wonder what the West Adelaide board think when they look at Fullers performance at South Adelaide.

He hasnt done enough really to justify the $ hes getting , any type of performance review surely would say as much ; unless its half arsed aand wants to take the easy way out like quite a few clubs like to do ie. Power
