And if the latest betting is to be believed, it's practically a foregone conclusion, with a head-to-head battle between:
• James Allan, and
• The other 300-odd players who played SANFL league footy this year,
tilting very much in Allan's favour.

Would expect more generous than $26 odds for Mark Suckling, though, seeing that he doesn't exist. (Well, not as a SANFL footballer, anyway.)

I wonder if "Josh Cross" is the brother of Joel Cross that has been starring for the panthers this year

Question for Admin, will this year be similar to last, where you will need to be logged in during the count?

I hope someone puts the house on Allan in case they "jinx" themselves and him. :p Other than that, hand the medal over already.

One of the reasons why we never have had a Magarey Medal recipient - one stand out player in another team with no-one else taking votes off him.
Others are: Votes taking off players eg. Cicolella and Colville; Biglands in 1999 and those two
-McKenzie getting injured in 2007 - prior to that he had polled four BOGs and after his return, nothing.
-No stand out players in a season
-Different players getting BOGs

She seems a good choice for a couple of reasons...
