The Roosters' recent form has been impressive and being 2.5 wins from 5th spot they will see this week's clash against Port as a must win.
The Magpies have shown they can be competitive against any side but their consistency is still a problem.
Despite being at Alberton, I'll select North by 14 points.

I know I raise it every time that North and Port play at Alberton, but North's record at Alberton is twice as good as most other opposition sides. I know that North have won there more times in the last 20 years than South have in over 100 years.

Last chance for the cocks, lose this and season is over, win and they are still a chance. Port will probably lose Butcher to the Pah this week, cant see them kicking enough goals, North by 5 goals

I think it will be the most entertaining. The other 3 will be grinding matches.

North's line-up might be tested again with what is looking like a few changes? Tony Armstrong proved his selection for the crows was warranted so he will be an out, Stewart would surely get another week with the Power and I expect Motlop to get a Power recall this week? In their place Mason and Boras would have to be considered to play up forward? Allan and Handby are due back so a couple of other handy inclusions providing Jimmy passes his fitness test.

******* morons putting this on at the same time as a match that will draw 40,000 just down the road. Traffic will be fun.
Oh well, off to the rugby again on Saturday.

Not on at the same time. Crows v Cats is at 4:10. Will be quarter to half time of the Alberton game before traffic even became an issue. ( about 3:00pm )
Power play Saturday afternoon so this was always going to be a Sunday game.

They're both Sunday afternoon, same time, same part of town. Dumb!
Unlike the supporters of the bottom team of the AFL a lot of Crows supporters get there several hours before the game. The crucial time is when Footy Pks gates open.
PS Why are the Power playing this week? They don't normally play anything except for roll over unless that counts? I suppose it could.

Oh and North to lose. We play awfully against sh!t sides and play awfully on Sundays mind you our record against Port on Sundays is probably better than against others.
Hope the facilities have improved at this hole with the billions we've given to the charity case.

So 2:10 and 4:10 is the same time? Great. My lad finishes his game at 3:00 so I can get to Alberton for the start of Port V North. Thanks mate!

Here I was thinking I'd miss the game at Alberton when I can get there.Dumb!
Well, other than the obvious traffic concerns I would have getting to Alberton, which is within a 5km radius of where those 40,000 other people will be. I dread to think what it will be like.
Another cheap, off-thread shot at Port Adelaides AFL side.

Yep Sunday afternoon is the same time as Sunday afternoon, depends how pedantic you want to be but I suppose technically speaking nothing could happen at the same time as it would always be at least 1/1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000th of a second out and even with an atomic clock synced to two different things I don't think current technology would allow there to still have 2 events start at exactly the same time.
My point is having thousands of Crows and Cats supporters on the road in the same area at the same time makes it a stupid time to have the game, if it was a Power game where only 2 men and a dog go it would be fine.
Gates open at Aami stadium at 2.15 and everytime I've been there when the gates opened there are many hundreds, if not thousands waiting. Technically I'd be going past Aami stadium at virtually exactly the same time a lot will be going to Aami because of the 5 minute difference between game time at Alberton and the gates opening at Alberton. It's not rocket science and I didn't think it needed a detailed explanation.
PS Its not Port Adelaide's AFL side I'm having a go at as its all ONE club so I'm completely on topic as North Adelaide are playing this so called ONE club this week.

Might have to catch up for a beer on our side of the ground this week mate, I've got bloody old man's gout and am struggling to walk 20 metres at the moment!

What beers and spirits do they have at Alberton this year? I remember last time I was there it was a bloody atrocious selection. Any decent BBQ too or shall I get something on the way there?

Great work Wedgie, stir the pot. No Armstrong from here on you would think but Mots is a certainty and D Stewart could be back. Roosters HAVE to win and they will by 18 plus. IMHO !!!!

Yeah its not hard, I forgot to spell everything out for some.
With that quality out we might struggle but Port have been pretty ordinary lately.
I can't remember the last time North strung 3 wins together, looking at the rest of the year you'd say we're no chance!
My family think I'm crazy for going to this game and not joining them at Footy Pk to see the Cats v Crows, I think I agree with them!
